ILYF Wrap Up

We have FINALLY reached the end of the tour. Are you exhausted? I took a break last week, so surprisingly I’m all revved for the next bit of action.

Where to start? Hmm… how about the last few stops on the tour. πŸ™‚ Though the tour is officially over, there are still time to enter the last giveaway for a signed copy of I Loved You First.

Here’s how it works: comment on any of the following posted hosted by bloggers then return to the kickoff post and enter to win. And of course, you can always comment on the prior weeks’ posts. So the last few stops on the tour are:

My Life, One Story at a Time – Interview/Review

Okay. I guess there’s just one more stop. πŸ™‚ Comment at My Life, One Story at a Time or any of the other stops on the tour, then enter to win.

I believe I need to choose a winner for the blog tour button portion of the giveaway. First, thank you everyone for spreading the word about the tour.

And the winner is!

Jamie K. from Bookrella

Jamie has already been notified via email.

A bit of random ramblings… cause that’s what I do. Putting together a blog tour was a difficult as it was easy. You’re not making any sense, Reena. I know… I get that way sometimes.

It surprised me at how quickly the days filled up… so quickly I expanded the tour from the original 30 days to 45 days. I Loved You First had a wonderful response in terms of individuals willing to read and participate in the tour. I can’t tell you how grateful I am to all the individuals who stepped up to the plate and volunteered their blogs for the tour.

A Bookish Affair, A Casual Reader’s Blog, Agrippina Legit, All I Ever Read, Aobibliophile, Ashley Zurc Pereira’s Blog, Black Diamonds Book Review, Book Girl Knitting, Book Junkie, Bookerella, Books R Us, Cat’s Thoughts, Elizabeth Kolodziej’s Blog, For What It’s Worth, Full Moon Bites, Fuzzy. Coffee. Books., I’m a Book Shark,Β Kim the Bookworm, -Love of Books-, Loved to Read for Fun, Magic of Reading, Mama Knows Books, Mercurial Musing, My Life, One Story at a Time, My Need to Read, My Neurotic Book Affair,Β Reviews by Molly, Romance in the Backseat, Roseanne’s Place, SugarBeat’s Books, The Book Addict, The Book Diva’s Reads, The BoOki3, The Phantom Paragrapher, What’s on the Bookshelf, Words of Wisdom… from the Scarf Princess, Words I Write Crazy

Many thanks!

Special thanks to all the readers who reviewed I Loved You First on your own… no encouragement needed. XOXOX Last but not least, thank you for all who followed the tour. It was a pleasure to read your comments. And though I didn’t respond to every comment (I was a little timid I’d mess up the discussion flow, particularly on the reviews), I did read each and every one.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I totally feel like I should have a mic and podium after that.

Be sure to check back next Friday. I should have the final two winners of the I Loved You First giveaway drawn. Happy Reading!

Working Wednesday #17

Okay. This is just a quickie update.

I Loved You First

I’m working through the guest posts and interviews for the I Loved You First (ILYF) blog tour. If you haven’t entered any of the giveaways, check those out. Two signed copies of ILYF are up for grabs. One for the blog tour button and one to kickoff the blog tour.

This week, you can comment on any of the following posted hosted by bloggers then return to the kickoff post and enter the giveaway.

Writing

This week I’ve been working on a few pieces of flash fiction. I’ve finished two, and I’m about 3/4 through another. All in all, I put in 2,482 words this week.

Reading Challenge

  • I’ve fallen behind by one book. In fact, I’m on the same book as last week.
  • My current read is Rage by Jackie Morse Kessler
2011 Reading Challenge
Reena has read 18 books toward her goal of 60 books.

The blog hop isn’t over. As you might recall, my job is to help secure as many votes as possible for my writing buddy, Lenore Wolfe, author of Doorway to the Triquetra.

Next round of voting is Sunday, August 14. When the time comes, you can put in your vote for Doorway to the Triquetra. And if I’m not mistaken, they’ll be giving away a copy of Shadow Cat this time.

When an ancient medallion is passed down to her, Mira is not happy to learn she is the next Jaguar Witch, bound by the blood of the Jaguar, to cross the doorway and learn the Way of the Stone. She must find the Doorway of the Triquetra, but each move she makes only leads her to a deeper mystery, where all of her past lives are bound–to four immortal men.

ILYF – Blog Tour Kickoff

Today starts the Blog Tour for I Loved You First. I’ve had some wonderful individuals volunteer to host giveaways, interviews (both author and characters), reviews, and other goodies. Wondering what we’re doing? Check out the blog tour calendar for a full list of stops!

The first giveaway starts here. Well, actually this is the second giveaway. For details on the first (Blog Tour Button Giveaway), which is for a signed copy of I Loved You First, see the entry rules here. Want to hurry to enter that one, because the number of points you can earn decrease as we near the end of the blog tour.

So what’s up for grabs today? πŸ™‚ Why another signed copy of I Loved You First.

How to enter? You all know I like to make the entries easy. So I’m going to do my best while also encouraging comments. Here’s how it works.

  1. Visit the blogs on the tour and leave a comment(s) while you’re there (ask a question, mention something you enjoyed about the post or even the blog in general, just comment).
  2. Return here.
  3. Leave the link of the blog you visited and share an interesting tidbit about the blog or post in the comments. Basically give folks a reason to visit other blogs on the tour. πŸ™‚ Think of it as a month and a half long blog hop.
  4. Fill out the form.

You’ll receive:

  • one entry for each blog you visit and encourage others to visit in the comments below
  • one entry for leaving a comment at each hosting blog you visit
  • hosts will receive one point for each time their blog is mentioned in the comments (this is for a separate giveaway for a signed copy which is exclusive to the bloggers hosting the tour)

These three giveaways (two for everyone and one exclusive to blogger hosts) are the only print copies available on the blog tour. If you’re into print, these are your opportunities. πŸ™‚

Fine Print

  • You may leave as many comments on a hosting blog post as you’d like, but only your first comment per blog post counts.
  • Hosts may enter the giveaway, but won’t receive credits for their own comments on their own blog.
  • This is an International Giveaway. As long as the USPS sends first-class mail to your country, you may win. If in doubt, please check the USPS Country List.
  • Giveaway ends Friday, October 7, 2011.
  • Please read the giveaway policy for the nitty gritty.

To get you all started, share what about I Loved You First piqued your curiosity. Then fill in the form.

If you haven’t read the first unedited chapter of I Loved You First. I welcome you to take a look.

You’re welcome to come back as many times as you need to add new entries as you make your way through the blog tour. There’s a stop almost every day from now until September 30, so plenty of opportunities to enter. Use the same form.
