Giveaway Winners! I Loved You First

The I Loved You First Blog Tour has finally come to a conclusion. 🙂 And we have winners!

The last giveaways for I Loved You First was a two for oner. Hmm… oner isn’t a real word, but I’m sticking with it.

Basically, a commentator leaves a comment on one of the tour posts (cause that’s what commentators do). They return to the Kickoff post and enter. That entry puts them in the running for a signed copy of I Loved You First as well as a separate copy for the blog they visited.

Before we get to announcing the winners, I want to thank everyone for participating. It truly was a marvelous experience to see the buzz around the net.

So the winners are

Sarah Setar (Commentator)

Interestingly enough, one of her entries also won a copy for a blogger!

I loved that the review mentioned how the book has a great impact by handling such a sensitive issue so carefully.

Congratulations — Leanne at Magic of Reading

Emails will go out shortly to the winners.

Thank you all for spreading the word!

In other news!!!

Last night I uploaded Regina’s Story to Amazon, Smashwords, and Barnes & Nobles. Woot!

Regina’s at it again, but this time she’s in charge… or so she thinks. Armed with a riding crop and whole lot of attitude, she’s determined to bend Brandon to her will. Find out just how far Brandon’s willing to let her go in this midday romp.

I really starting to dig these short stories. I already have a couple more shorties featuring Regina and Brandon in the works. I haven’t decided who will star next. Likely Regina, since what I have in mind with her is more in line with her personality. Brandon is about to step out of his meek role, and I want to make sure he doesn’t come off overly harsh. We’ll see. In the meantime, pick up a copy of Control Freak: Regina’s Story.

I cannot tell you how easy the process was using StoryBox. Stay tuned, because this coming Friday I plan on a writing a quick tutorial on preparing my final draft for publication using StoryBox. In the mean time, check it out. Play around with it for a bit. Then return here on Friday and read my rambling.

ILYF Wrap Up

We have FINALLY reached the end of the tour. Are you exhausted? I took a break last week, so surprisingly I’m all revved for the next bit of action.

Where to start? Hmm… how about the last few stops on the tour. 🙂 Though the tour is officially over, there are still time to enter the last giveaway for a signed copy of I Loved You First.

Here’s how it works: comment on any of the following posted hosted by bloggers then return to the kickoff post and enter to win. And of course, you can always comment on the prior weeks’ posts. So the last few stops on the tour are:

My Life, One Story at a Time – Interview/Review

Okay. I guess there’s just one more stop. 🙂 Comment at My Life, One Story at a Time or any of the other stops on the tour, then enter to win.

I believe I need to choose a winner for the blog tour button portion of the giveaway. First, thank you everyone for spreading the word about the tour.

And the winner is!

Jamie K. from Bookrella

Jamie has already been notified via email.

A bit of random ramblings… cause that’s what I do. Putting together a blog tour was a difficult as it was easy. You’re not making any sense, Reena. I know… I get that way sometimes.

It surprised me at how quickly the days filled up… so quickly I expanded the tour from the original 30 days to 45 days. I Loved You First had a wonderful response in terms of individuals willing to read and participate in the tour. I can’t tell you how grateful I am to all the individuals who stepped up to the plate and volunteered their blogs for the tour.

A Bookish Affair, A Casual Reader’s Blog, Agrippina Legit, All I Ever Read, Aobibliophile, Ashley Zurc Pereira’s Blog, Black Diamonds Book Review, Book Girl Knitting, Book Junkie, Bookerella, Books R Us, Cat’s Thoughts, Elizabeth Kolodziej’s Blog, For What It’s Worth, Full Moon Bites, Fuzzy. Many thanks!

Special thanks to all the readers who reviewed I Loved You First on your own… no encouragement needed. XOXOX Last but not least, thank you for all who followed the tour. It was a pleasure to read your comments. And though I didn’t respond to every comment (I was a little timid I’d mess up the discussion flow, particularly on the reviews), I did read each and every one.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I totally feel like I should have a mic and podium after that.

Be sure to check back next Friday. I should have the final two winners of the I Loved You First giveaway drawn. Happy Reading!

Special Post: Happy Release Day Plus Plus

This is a long post, so the main points are highlighted in bold for the skimmers. 🙂

Eagerness becomes me. So August 1 was to be the release date for I Loved You First. I got a little eager and uploaded the files yesterday. Surprise! Happy Release Day, I Loved You First.

Alexandria (Alex) Carmichael guards two secrets close to her heart. One—she’s in love with her best friend, Seth. Two—he’s gay.

As a freshman in college, Alex looks forward to fun times with her best friend. When Seth decides cycling through girlfriends is the way to fit in with the straight crowd, Alex must make a choice: watch Seth give his affections to another while her heart breaks or come clean with her feelings and risk losing his friendship forever.

I Loved You First is a new adult love story told through the eyes of an African-American/Caucasian student who takes a journey of self-discovery while watching her best friend come to terms with his sexuality. Turn the pages and find a message of hope, new beginnings, and positive change.

*Stay tuned for the upcoming blog tour

So I mentioned Plus Plus! Right. 🙂 If you haven’t picked up a copy of Shadow Cat, great news for you! Aobibliosphere is offering a copy at her blog. Yip yip! Head over there and check it out the giveaway.

Shadow Cat (Book One) Eric Randall’s plan is simple—fix the mess his researchers have created in Malaysia, experience the pleasures the country has to offer, and return to the comforts of America. All it takes is one beautiful aborigine, and Eric finds himself stranded in a world of Malaysian myths and legends.

A novice shaman amongst her people, Berani is free and independent. Yet all is not well in her homeland. Demons prey on her people, pushing them to extinction. When a strange speaking man invades her forest, she has one more worry to add to her already troubled life. Attraction or no, she will fight Eric tooth and claw to maintain her freedom. But will she destroy herself in the process?

If Berani wishes to save her family… if Eric wishes to reclaim his old life, they must stand together against the threats of encroaching wehr-tigers and bloodsucking demons… or perish.

Last but not least! I’m participating in a blog hop event starting Monday. Exciting. 🙂 My job is to help secure as many votes as possible for my writing buddy, Lenore Wolfe, author of Doorway to the Triquetra.

Okay. So the voting doesn’t start until Monday. When the time comes, you can put in your vote for Doorway to the Triquetra–no other book, just Doorway to the Triquetra–and help my buddy win this thang. Yes… that’s spelled right, thang. 🙂 So remember, support and vote for Doorway to the Triquetra.

When an ancient medallion is passed down to her, Mira is not happy to learn she is the next Jaguar Witch, bound by the blood of the Jaguar, to cross the doorway and learn the Way of the Stone. She must find the Doorway of the Triquetra, but each move she makes only leads her to a deeper mystery, where all of her past lives are bound–to four immortal men.
