Who Art Thou Thursday: Elizabeth Kolodziej

You all might recall me mentioning Elizabeth Kolodziej sending her latest release, Werewolf Descent on tour. Tada! You’ve found her next stop. 🙂 Kick back and relax as we pry into the mind of Ms. Kolodziej.

Tell us about your most recent publication.

My most recent publication is Werewolf Descent. It is the second book in The Last Witch Series, the first book being Vampyre Kisses. From comments I have gotten from my beta readers and editor, I think this book is really going to show readers how much I have progressed with my writing. The plot and pacing is really terrific and it’s going to make the reader keep on reading. Here is the back blurb:

Last witch in the world, Faith Scott, and her Irish vampire boyfriend Trent have just come back from fighting for their lives to recover the Vampiric Blood gem and Werewolf Moon gem. Thinking they could finally relax and work on the romance growing between them, they now meet a mysterious psychic vampire named Vincent who has his heart set on being with Faith.

Soon bizarre killings of Zou Tai’s werewolf pack begin, with rumors of an alchemist possessing the famed philosophers stone being the assailant; which, causes Faith to turn to Vincent for help in figuring out why the werewolves are being murdered.

It isn’t long before all those around them test Trent and Faith’s love, along with their abilities, once again. It is all Trent can do to keep Faith safe by his side while both go up against a deadly alchemist, deceptive gods, and having to rescue the werewolf prince; yet, after a deal with the God of Werewolves will Trent be able to save himself too?

Give us a brief description of a story you have hidden in your skeleton closet? And will it ever see the light of day?

Ok. This is going to be a little vague cause I don’t want to give away the ending since I really hope for it to see the light of day. Woman falls for Slayer who is a “hitman” killing the undead. But she doesn’t realize this. She is torn between him and the body guard she forced to have follow her around.

Let’s just say… things aren’t going to be as they seem in this tale. muwhahaha.

What are you working on now?

I am working on the third book, Witch Devotions, for The Last Witch Series while trying to pull my publishing company together. I plan to offer services to other authors while publishing books. We’ll see how it goes.

How much of you/your life do you put into your stories?

It truly depends on the story. But I would say at least 20% for every tale in some way or another. For my third book in The Last Witch Series, I am putting around 50% of myself in there because something happened to Faith and me at the same time I started writing it, so I am really feeling what she is going through.

Which of your characters do you relate to most?

Hmmm. I would have to go with Faith. She felt weak but is proving how strong she along with her discipline to learn something she never knew she had in her.

For you, what’s the hardest part of the writing process?

Finding the time! I have so many ideas that I want to pour out but when you have to do the business end of being an author plus you have a full time job, well it gets rough. Especially when you want to have a social life to go along with it! ugh.

What’s the easiest part of the writing process?

Coming with the stories. I have a great imagination and my characters love talking to me so I know I have at least 3 more books in the least for this series.

When did you first decide you wanted to be a writer?

Truthfully, now that I think about it, I don’t think I decided to be a writer. I think it’s something that the muses picked special for me and I don’t like to waste talent.

Who would you say is your biggest fan in your writing career?

That was my father. He was my biggest supporter and truly believed I have a good thing going. He was smart and gave me the best advice, kinda like a dadager. hehe. Even though he left this world a month ago I still believe his is my biggest fan and always will be.

Do you have any advice for other writers?

Take control. You are the boss of your own empire and if you want to make your dreams come true your going to have to use your wits and your voice.

Anything special you’d like to say to readers?

I appreciate everyone single one of you that reads my books. I am shocked and amazed by the amount (though small) that have Vampyre Kisses thus far. You make me as happy as I hope I make you with my books.

How about some quickies!
