Working Wednesday #11

Okay… This week I worked on more than just I Loved You First. Not much, but a little. 🙂 If you don’t mind, I’ll skip my failures again, and just hit the good stuff. So let’s see where we are.

  • Edit I Loved You First
    • Four scenes a week
      • Last update 29/32
      • Done!!!! Final word count on this draft is 40,234 words with 32 scenes.
  • Clean up blog and update link
    • This week, I worked on the review (2010/2011) and reading lists. Really all I did was use the Goodreads Widgets. 🙂 I figured that way they’ll update themselves. No mess.
  • 2011 Reading Challenge ~ Apparently I lost my lead, and now I’m right on track. This week I’m reading The Archangel by Michael Young. I’m so loving it.

In Other News!!!

Tomorrow’s my birthday! If you were around for my last birthday, you know I’m the type of gal to ask my family for the presents I want.

Welcome to the family. I’m putting out my wishlist, which is simple. I want your pledges! $1, $5, $10, $1,000,000,000,000–I don’t care. Okay, if you pledge $1,000,000,000,000, I will care.

Seriously though. Every little bit helps. If you’re not familiar with the Kickstarter Campaign program, I’ll let you in on a secret. It’s all or nothing. I’m about 25% toward my goal of $800. If I received $799.99 worth of pledges, everything falls through, no funds arrive toward my editing fund.

So I humbly request with virtual cherries on top (unless you’re allergic to cherries), read the first chapter of I Loved You First, check out my Kickstarter Campaign, pick through the rewards, and if you’re so obliged, please pledge.

My best friend was more than just a best friend to me. Three words summed it up: I heart him. I’d never tell him though. I wasn’t stupid. Besides, what he’d told no one, but me, was a little something I wished I could forget… or ignore. He was gay. I guess gay wouldn’t be bad if I wasn’t so in love with him. Now it was just cruel.

Stereotypes run amok in this college love story: Parties, alcohol, hookups, and breakups. Alexandria Carmichael may find it a bit much as she deals with the unreturned love from the boy who completes her. When all is revealed, not only does she risk losing her best friend forever, but also herself. Without her childhood companion for support, Alexandria takes a journey of self-discovery but fears what she’ll find at the end.

Add it to your Goodreads list. 🙂

Also, check back tomorrow for the giveaway I’ve planned for my birthday. 😀
